About

I’m Sam, a 23 year old English horticulturalist. I grew up in the Lake District, where upon leaving school I worked as apprentice gardener/arborist for a local authority. After completing my apprenticeship, I spent a year working at Great Dixter and a nearby private garden, improving my practical skills and plant knowledge.

As well as loving plants, I enjoy visiting new places and experiencing different cultures. This led me to to apply for a Propagation Internship at Jerusalem Botanic Gardens. Here I will be able to learn about plants and study them in the wild whilst seeing incredible sights. With this blog I hope to document my adventures and share photos and information. The internship is sponsored by the friends of JBG and more information is available on their website.
