Some macro shots of bees and butterflies on Sedum telephium ‘Matrona’ today. This plant is always a winner with the insects. It’s just coming into flower now and will bloom through into October. The foliage provides a nice bronzey tone for the rest of the growing season.
I bought one of those last weekend in a clearance sale at my local garden centre. Just have to find a spot for it…

I have 4 varieties of seedum in the garden so the bees have the use of them from early summer right through until autumn. Love it….

We had these same butterflies in our yellow flowers, tens of them 2.9. I have noticed butterflies like yellow flowers.

I have some sedum spectabile either side of the front door in pots. I had to remove a few blooms so we can get in the door. 🙂 They may take root in the vase.
